This tutorial series will cover basic perspective in a simplified way. It is designed to help beginner artists to understand how to draw dimensionally on a flat surface, or for that matter, in a vector program. Perspective skills are somewhat superseded these days by 3D programs. 3D programs are in fact perspective programs with controls for rendering for by setting object texture, lighting and camera angles. Still being able to use perspective will always be important for 2D artists and there is something to be said for an individuals interpretive rendering in perspective. It separates them from others as they apply their knowledge and skills to the 2D surface. Below is a digital illustration in extreme perspective done for a brochure.
